Darwin to Kakadu (Return)
Location

If you’re travelling to the Top End, you do not want to miss an adventure into Kakadu National Park where you will learn about the indigenous culture, experience ancient rock art and see stunning panoramic views.

On this day tripper, enjoy the rugged scenery in air-conditioned comfort and maximise the many photographic opportunities along the way.

The Journey

Departing Darwin, make your way to Kakadu along the Arnhem Highway, stopping for morning tea at an authentic outback roadside station.

When you arrive in the park cross the South Alligator River, before journeying on past lush floodplains and billabongs to reach Ubirr Rock.

With its ancient rock art and escarpment views, it’s one of the truly breathtaking sites of this World Heritage National Park.

Enjoy a picnic lunch under the trees, before venturing off for a stop at the Bowali Visitor Centre. Here you will get your fill on local flora, fauna and culture before heading back to Darwin.
